Ex-chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has reiterated stand that party’s senior most leader LK Advani has taken in his blog. In his blog Advani has stated, “The nationalist workers of BJP lives by the principle of nation first, party next, self last.” Chouhan said while addressing party function held to mark 39 foundation day of the party on Saturday. Various programmes, havans were held to mark the occasion.
“BJP has given message of cultural-nationalism to country. BJP government always served the poor. It transformed the bimarustate into a developed state. BJP made the country self sufficient in the nuclear power,” Chouhan added. “BJP’s, earlier avatar was in form of Jansangh in 1951 and now in its present form it has become one of biggest political parties of the world.
Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, Nanaji Deshmukh, Kushabhau Thakre contributed in building of BJP, Shivraj Singh said, adding, “ Upadhyaya and Mukherjee promoted Jan Sangh and then Atal Behari Vajpayee and LK Advani promoted BJP. And now PM Narendra Modi and party national chief Amit Shah promoted the party. Consequently, BJP succeeded in making government in many states with their valuable contributions. Today, there are 16 states where BJP is in power.”
BJP adopted a policy of zero tolerance toward terrorism. Country security is top priority for BJP which made country prosperous and glorious under leader of PM Narendra Modi. BJP dealt separatists forces and terrorism with iron handed, Chouhan added.
Taking a dig at Congress, Chouhan said, “Congress always adopted policy of appeasement which led to the Kashmir problem. Congress has history of corruption. After Bofors scams, list is endless as it includes 3G, 4G as well. I have visited 11 states and found that there is Modi wave. BJP will get 300 Lok Sabha seats and NDA will get 400 seats. Even in Odisha and West Bengal, party will do exceptionally well.”
