Bhopal: Assembly panel for revision of MLAs' salary, allowances

The committee has been asked to present the recommendations as soon as possible

BHOPAL: The state Assembly constituted a nine-member committee for revision of salary and allowances of members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) on Monday. The committee will also take into consideration the same of former MLAs, as well.

The committee has Kedarnath Shukla, Narottam Mishra, Jagdish Deora, Govind Singh, Hina Kanwre, Devendra Verma, Yashpal Singh Sisodia, Kunwar Singh Tekam and Rajesh Kumar Shukhla as its members. The committee has been asked to present the recommendations as soon as possible.

The state Assembly constituted another 21-member committee to conduct the general affairs of the state Assembly. The Speaker of the state Assembly will remain the chairman of this committee.
