Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A day before the unlock process, state medical education minister Vishvas Sarang on Monday visited one of the busiest markets of the city and drew circles in front of the shops.
Sarang, who is also in charge of Bhopal Covid crisis management, made an announcement over loudspeaker that the unlock process will start from Tuesday in phased-manner with strict Covid-19 protocol. He also urged shopkeepers to follow Covid-19 guidelines and ensure that customers follow the same.
Talking to journalists, Saranag said a separate Covid Safety Committee has been formed for each market of the city. The committee comprises revenue officer, municipal corporation officials and police officials. “It will be the committee's responsibility to ensure that protocol if followed at each shop and in the market,” Sarang said.
Notably, the crisis management committee on Sunday had proposed to open only 25% shops including grocery, hardware, building materials, electrical goods etc. However, the detailed guideline for state capital is yet to be issued.
