BHOPAL: National workshop on ‘Anthropology and Museums’ for postgraduate students of Anthropology from various universities of north-east concluded at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya on Wednesday. Young anthropologists visited Himalayan Village, Rock Art Shelter, Mythological Trail, Veethi Sankul, Tribal Habitat, Avritti Bhawan and coastal village.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Prof Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, director, IGRMS said, “We have taken serious note of your feedback. I will recommend that you must all work as local resource persons to anthropologists conducting research in your region. That will give you experience of working in the field.” He asked students to share their experience of the workshop with fellow students by writing in local newspaper or on social networking sites.
