HOSHANGABAD: District panchayat CEO PC Sharma, while attending gram sansad meetings in different villages of the district, directed that all eligible beneficiaries should be mandatorily given the benefit of government schemes.
At the gram sansad of Mahuakheda village under Janpad Panchayat Bankhedi, he said that the women should come forward to take advantage of the schemes meant for them. He said that the health status of women and children should be examined at regular intervals and all the necessary medicines should be provided to them. He also gifted sanitation kits and new clothes to two women of 50 years of age. At village Macherakhurd, he inspected the works done by the Panchayat. At Maathni village in Piparia Janpad Panchayat area, he said that the names of ineligible beneficiaries should be removed from the BPL list. On this occasion, probationary IAS officer and SDM, Sohagpur Sanskriti Jain and others were present.
The CEO of janpad panchayat asked the villagers about the facilities they are getting at the Aaganwadi centres. He said all widows earning less than Rs 1 lakh per year were eligible to get widows pension and the facility should be extended to them. He said the village panchayats should ensure that every home had a toilet.
