The Energy Department has taken action against 492 officials across the state in order to improve the power supply in the state.  Six FIRs had been registered against the hookers. Additional Chief Secretary, Energy, IPC Keshri informed that the department is seriously working to prevent tripping in the state.  He claimed that the situation is improving day by day.  He added that due to unseasonal rains and thunders, the incidents of power tripping have been reported.

On April 16 – 10,387 incidents had occurred. Similarly on Apri 17 – 6,167 incidents, on April 18 2 -186, on April 19 – 1,689 and on April 20 – a total of 1,500 incidents had been reported all over the state. He further added that the demand is also increasing day by day as compared to the last year. In April 2017, the demand was 8,177 megawatt which had increased in the next year 2018 to 8,434 MW and in the current year the demand has raised to 9,443 MWs.

Till date the department has taken action against 492 officers and employees of the department.  165 had been suspended, show cause notice had been served to 87, the services of 240 had been terminated.  Among the terminated four are the executive engineers, 10 assistant engineers, 25 junior engineers and 116 linemen are included. The services of 236 outsources employees and four linemen had been terminated.
