A free pediatric cardiology camp was organised at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital on Tuesday. Pediatric cardiac consultant Dr Vishal Changela and Dr Alpesh Patel examined as many as 24 patients including 6 adult and 18 minor cardiac patients. 7 children were identified for their heart surgeries at Narayan Multispecialty Hospital, Ahmedabad. These free heart surgeries will be performed under Rashtriya Baal Swasthya Karyakram.
Six children are ailing with a hole in their heart while one girl is required surgeries for her Mitral Valve repair and Aortic Valve replacement. Siddh Bhau urged the cardiac consultant and surgeons to visit atleast twice in a year to Sant Nagar. He said many parents are unable to avail the treatment of dreaded diseases due to shortage of financial resources.
