Bhopal: Piplani police claimed to have foiled a dacoit bid on Tuesday. Acting on a tip off three teams were rushed to Bharat Nagar ground at around 1:30am and nabbed five dacoits carrying sharp-edge weapons, an iron road, a country-made pistol and one live cartridge while they were planning a dacoity, late in the night.
SHO Piplani, Rakesh Shrivastava said nabbed are: Imran, Naeem, Firoz, Shahid and Ajay. The accused belonged to Aishbagh, Nishatpura and Teelajamalpura localities. They are habitual offenders and criminal records as well, he added. They have been booked under sections 399 and 402 of the IPC and 25/27 of Arms Act. In the initial investigation the alleged dacoits revealed that they were planning a dacoity either at a petrol pump or at any house in Aishbagh area.
