BHOPAL: Three incidents of loots were reported from Teelajamalpura, Ashoka Garden and Piplani localities of the state capital in which two school teachers and a school student were targeted by bike-borne robbers all within a span of 24 hours. In the first incident, a 29-year-old woman school teacher was robbed of her mobile phone by two bike-borne miscreants near Sai Baba temple under Teelajamalpura police station area in the evening on Tuesday.
Police said that the 29-year-old victim Sujata Jaiswal, wife of Jagdeesh at around 5 pm started from school for her home. While she was on a call on her mobile two bike borne miscreants appeared, snatched her mobile phone and fled from the spot. She raised an alert, in vain. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under Section 392 of the IPC and started search for the accused.
In another incident at Ashoka Garden, unidentified accused robbed the bag of a school 46-year-old teacher Ranjana Pardeshi while she was returning home after purchasing medicines for her mother. On her way her bag slipped and fell down but before she could pick it up, the accused took the bag and fled on a twowheeler. In the last incident, 16-year-old Arvind panikar of Awadhpuri Road lodged a complaint of loot with Piplani police on Tuesday late evening. He stated that two bike-borne youths on pretext of asking address robbed him of gold chain, Rs 2,000 cash and two mobile phones.
