Bhopal: 3 accused held for looting doctor are habitual offenders

Bhopal: The accused of looting cash from a doctor’s driver were arrested by MP Nagar police. The incident occurred on Monday evening when the accused had targeted driver of doctor Rajesh Mehra and had snatched away his bag carrying Rs 2.21 lakh in cash.

The three accused who were arrested on Thursday are found to have been involved in other incidents of loot and blackmailing of the city, claimed police. Two of the accused involved in the case were arrested earlier while one more was on the run.

According to additional superintendent of police (ASP) Zone 2 Dinesh Kaushal the accused are habitual offenders and were involved in a loot incident with an auto driver in Jahangirabad and blackmailing through threatening calls in Kamla Nagar area. The accused have been identified as 20-year-old Anas Miyan, a 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old Vinod Madopiya.The accused Anas had worked for the doctor and had planned the loot with his friends.
