BHOPAL : A 23-year-old man was allegedly shot at on Thursday midnight in Hanumanganj. The victim who sustained pellet injuries in his leg, later lodged a complaint against four accused who are still absconding, the police said.
According to the police, the victim identified as Deepak Singh of Patel Nagar was at a restaurant in the locality when the four accused Golu Sharma, Naved, Naeem and one unidentified called him on his phone and asked him to come near a temple in the area. Singh, who was known to them, agreed to come and reached the spot. When he reached the spot, one of them shot at him with a country-made pistol. Soon after the incident, the four fled on two motorbikes.
The victim was later rushed to a nearby hospital. The cause behind the incident is still unknown but a case against the four has been registered after a complaint was lodged by the victim. Investigations were on to nab the accused, the police said.
