Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): Gabbar Singh Yadav, the president of the Husks Trade Association, was found dead in Ashoknagar on Saturday.

The incident took place on Chanderi Road. His licensed gun was also recovered from the scene, raising suspicions about the circumstances of his death.

According to information, he had dinner at home before attending a duston event. A cot was found at the spot, and when employees discovered him, they informed his family, who later called the police. His body was sent for post-mortem.

According to his family, he had been in the husk trade for 15 years and ran a large-scale business. He was also involved in other ventures. The gunshot severely damaged his face, and the police are investigating how the shooting happened.

Following his death, his family, community members, and husk traders staged a protest at the bus stand, demanding a fair probe within seven days. They claimed he was in good spirits and expanding his business, making the incident suspicious. The protest lasted for about 30 minutes.

After receiving information, SDM Brij Bihari Lal Srivastava, SDOP Vivek Sharma, and police officials reached the scene and assured a thorough investigation, including checking call records, CCTV footage, and location details. SDOP Sharma promised to keep the family updated as the inquiry progresses.
