BHOPAL : Two cases of suicide were reported from Gautam Nagar and Cholla Mandir area within past 24 hours, in which an architect and a middle-aged man hanged self.
In the first incident, a 35-year-old man committed suicide by hanging self in Risaldar Colony within the limits of Gautam Nagar police station on Sunday.
Investigation officer ASI Shiva Mohan Singh said that deceased Jignesh Ahirwar 35, basically hails from Bina. Jignesh is an architect and was living with a Sagar based woman Shaily Sen.
According to the information on Sunday afternoon, a quarrel broke out between Jignesh and his woman friend Shaily following which he locked himself in a room where he called his sister from his mobile and said that he will never return now after which he took out SIM card from mobile and later hanged self.
Later when he didn’t opened the door for several hours, Shaily called neighbours following which the door of room was broken and to their surprise Jignesh was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
No suicide note was found. The second incident was reported from Cholla Mandir area where a 45-year-old man hanged self in Bihari Colony under the influence of liquor by making noose from the rope used to tie cow during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
Police said that deceased was identified as Lakhan (45), son of Hargovind, a resident of Bihari Colony who used to run a saloon.
Investigation Officer ASI Mansingh Uike said that on Sunday night he went to neighbour’s house where he consumed liquor with him and after returning house he hanged self in a vacant plot located near the house.
