BHOPAL: More than two thousand policemen were deployed in the security arrangements of the Vishwa Hindi Sammelan but the burglars still managed to elope with a laptop of project engineer of a software company, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) which had set up a stall at the Lal Parade Ground on Thursday. Ironically the entry into the premises was strictly restricted and only those having passes issued by Ministry of External affairs were allowed inside. The incident took place merely one hour after the PM left the venue. The victim engineer later registered a case at the Jehangirabad police station following which police started investigations.

According to police victim Akshay Dubey, 25, son of Shankarram Dubey, resident of Maharashtra in his complaint stated that he was working with CDAC as a software engineer. He was the member of the team which was given the responsibility by the company on the behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government to prepare Hindi Fonts and tools.

He was also involved in preparing the CD being distributed to the delegates by the MP Government as a souvenir. He along with many other officers of the company was staying at Police Lines Indore where they were preparing the software for the last couple of months. He said that on Thursday when he returned to the stall after briefing the details of his company to one of the delegates around 2 pm he found that his laptop was missing. Subsequently he filed a complaint with the Jehangirabad police.
