BHOPAL : Ghazal, Sufi and Bhajan songs were presented by city-based noted vocalists under a concert ’53rd Kala Parva Gantantra Utsav -2016′ here on Friday at Ravindra Bhawan Auditorium. It was organised by Abhinav Kala Parishad.
The cultural performance began with Ghazal and Sufi songs by well-known tabla player as well as vocalist Saleem Allahwale. He started off with sufi songs ‘Aey Ri Sakhi More Khwaja Ghar Aaye…,’ and Chhap Tilak Sab Chhinee….,’ which won huge round of applause from audience. Theses compositions of Moiunuddin Chishti and Amir Khusro were based on Raag Mishra and Tilak Khamaj. After that, he presented a ghazal ‘Dekhte Jaieye Kaise Hai Zamane wale…,’of Shayar Naseem. It was based on raag Vageshree in Kaharwa taal. He concluded his performance with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan popular song ‘Sanson Ki Mala Pe Simroon Main Pi Ka Naam….,’which won the hearts of music lovers. It was based on raag ‘Darbari’.
He was accompanied by his 14-year-disciple Shekhu on vocal, Mohammed Naeem Allahwale on tabla, Zakir Hussain on Sarangi, Rais Khan on violin, Ravi on synthesizer and Nikhil on octopad.
The programme concluded with the Bhajans presented by noted singer Kriti Sood. She presented bhajans of Mahakal, Bulleshah, Guru and Saibaba which mesmerised the audience. These songs were ‘Jai Mahakal…’, ‘Ek Ranjha Mainu Lodi Da…,’ ‘Maine Aisa Sadguru Paya…’ and ‘Masjid Kar Di Dwarik,Mandir Kar Diya Kaba…..’. She also presented patriotic songs.
The progamme began with felicitation ceremony in which city-based noted personalities from the fields of art and literature were felicitated with Abhinav Shabd Shilpi Alankaran’. These were Madhukar Ashthana, Dr. Raam Sanehi Lal Yayawar, Prabu Dwivedi, Pankaj Subir, Shanti Lal Jain and Hemant Dewlikar. Saleem Allahwale was feliciated with ‘Abhinav Kala Samman’. The programme was conducted by Kamlesh Jaimini.
