BHOPAL: The unidentified burglars targeted a locked house in Nishatpura area and escaped with booty worth more than Rs 5 lakh. Later when the house owners returned and found his house burgled he reported the matter to Nishatpura police station following which the police registered a case against the unidentified burglars and started investigations.
According to Nishatpura police, victim house owner Omprakash Tomar, son of Shriram Tomar, resides at Devki Nagar behind the temple. He along with his family had gone to their parental house at Maihar on August 6 and when they returned on Sunday morning they found the locks of the house broken. They were shocked to find that the burglars had broken the locks of the almirah and taken away cash Rs 50,000 along with gold and silver jewellery all to the tune of more than Rs 5 lakh. However the police have registered a burglary of only Rs 80000.
Tomar works as a driver and was said to be employed with senior Congress leader Suresh Pachori as his driver. In another incident unidentified burglars broke in at a house in Piplani area and fled with cash and valuables worth over Rs 1 lakh.
According to the Ayodhya Nagar police sources, victim Sunil, son of Rajendra Yadav, resident of Chhatrasal Nagar, is a government employee. In his complaint he stated that on Saturday he had gone on his duty and his family had gone to Bihar. In the meantime unidentified burglars broke into his house after 11am in broad daylight and fled with gold jewellery and cash Rs 6,000, all to the tune of more than one lakh.
Police have registered cases against unidentified accused in both the complaints and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
