BHOPAL : The state Public Health and Family Welfare Department has issued directives to suspend 19 pharmacists / in-charge storekeepers for not sending samples to ascertain quality of medicines. These directives have been given to 19 Chief Medical and Health Officers and Civil Surgeons. Time upto November 26 has been given for ensuring suspension of the guiltyd pharmacists/in-charge storekeepers with intimation to the headquarters.
These directives have been given to Chief Medical Health Officers of Hoshangabad, Jhabua, Harda, Chhindwara, Bhind, Betul, Barwani, Ashok Nagar, Narsinghpur, Panna, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Seoni, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Umaria, Shajapur and Vidisha districts.
In the state, only WHO-certified medicines are procured. It has been made mandatory to send samples to identified labs for quality test. This work is being regularly monitored at the state level. Arrangements for immediate suspension have been made in case of negligence and indifference. Similarly, those performing excellently are being rewarded.
