Ford has confirmed that it will launch a new variant of the EcoSport, the Titanium S, on May 14. Alongside the new variant, Ford might also launch the EcoSport Signature edition, which has also been spotted several times over the last few weeks. The American carmaker has not shared any details of the two editions officially yet, but here is all we know about them so far.

EcoSport Titanium S

The EcoSport Titanium S variant will be based on the current top-spec Titanium+ variant

It will, therefore, be loaded with features such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, hill launch assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear parking camera with sensors, push-button start, auto dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control and cruise control

In addition, the EcoSport Titanium S will get an all-electric sunroof as well

With the Titanium S, Ford will reintroduce the 1.0-litre EcoBoost (125PS/170Nm) engine on the EcoSport. This engine was on offer on the pre-facelift EcoSport. However, this time around, it will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission instead of a 5-speed manual gearbox

The Titanium S will get smoked headlamps, new gunmetal finish alloy wheels and grille, along with a contrasting black roof

Inside the cabin, the Titanium S variant will get orange-coloured inserts on the dashboard, central console, door handles and seats. It will also get an updated instrument cluster with a large, colour MID and chrome dial rings

The Titanium S will be available in all existing colour options, which includes blue, white, silver, red, black, grey and orange

Price: considering extras like sunroof, minor cosmetic updates and the turbocharged petrol engine, the EcoSport Titanium S is likely to be priced at around Rs 11.5 lakh, a premium of about Rs 1 lakh over the Titanium+ variant, which is priced at Rs 10.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

EcoSport Signature

Unlike the EcoSport Titanium S which is based on the EcoSport Titanium+, the Signature edition will be based on the Titanium variant

Since it’s based on the lower Titanium variant, the Signature edition will miss out on features (compared to the Titanium S) like side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, cruise control, auto dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers. For infotainment, instead of the 8-inch unit, which gets SYNC 3, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity , it will get a 9-inch touchscreen with navigation only

Like the Titanium S, the Signature edition will also get an electric sunroof

The Signature edition will also be powered by the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine like the Titanium S

Aesthetically, it will look similar to the standard EcoSport except for some additional chrome highlights

On the inside, instead of orange, the signature edition will feature blue highlights

Unlike the Titanium S, which will be avaialble in all existing colours, the signature edition will be available only in four colours: white, black, silver and blue

Price: The EcoSport Signature is likely to be priced at Rs 10.5 lakh, a premium of about Rs 1 lakh over the standard Titanium variant (petrol), which is priced at Rs 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
