Just days after a UAE job listing for house managers offering high salaries went viral, India’s own Vishal Mega Mart has stirred up a meme storm by announcing about hiring a security guard following a full-fledged examination process.
"On April 1st, Vishal Mega Mart conducted an exam for its Security Guard Services, featuring questions on Current Affairs, English, and the local language. A medical test and a physical training check were also conducted", according to X users.
While exams for civil services or government posts are standard, no one expected a shopping store to roll out tests for a security guard role. The seriousness of the recruitment process left many scratching their heads and even more cracking jokes.

According to data from AmbitionBox and Glassdoor, freshers joining the brand can expect a decent pay around Rs 12,000 per month, while the salary goes up to Rs 25,000 for supervisor and senior roles of a security personnel.
