Do you love walking through the shore and enjoying the sea breeze as the rolling waves call you to get one with nature? We all must have explored a number of beaches but this one is a bit different. It is more of the help it provides than its beauty. It is a comparatively small beach situated at Malad.

You can get there in about 30 min from the railway station. The 272 bus will get you directly at the shore which is very much convenient. It has turned out to be a one stop to feed your various needs. It is one such places that can get you to various destinations within a short period of time.

It is connected with places like Manori, Gorai, Uttan, all of which lead you to Borivali and Bhayandar  making short travel time if you commute through the ferry boats which are available at the cost of Rs. 10 per ride from one end to the other. You will observe people stalking up their personal vehicles mostly bikes in the ferry to get across the sea.

There are fishing boats at one end which usually arrive late afternoon- evening bringing absolutely fresh fish. Like any other beach you will find various shacks which sell delicious street food like chana chaat, corn on a cob, pani puri etc. The naval quarters are just adjacent to the beach and have their guards keeping a watch to avoid any kind of mishap. There are restaurants nearby which offer Indian, Chinese and Mughlai food.

Another attraction which falls next to Essel World is “Global Vipassana Pagoda” which is also worth the visit. It can be seen from afar and looks spectacular when it lights up in gold at night.
