Mumbai:Mumbai-based Indian Navy sailed to a 1-0 win against Titanium SC their opening Group-C league match of the G.V. Raja Invitational Football Tournament. Former junior India player Raman Rai netted the all-important winning goal to propel Navy to victory.

In the second match, Navy did exceptionally well to hold home favourites and formidable Kerala Police to a goalless draw, according to imformation received .With four points Navy’s hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals depend on the outcome of the final group match to be played between Titanium and Kerala Police, who have to win by a clear 2-0 margin to progress to the knockout stage on better goal difference.
