London : Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been replaced due to his injury from the England football squad for the friendly against Germany on Wednesday and the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on March 26.
The English Football Association did not report what kind of injury Jones has suffered, but said coach Gareth Southgate has “no immediate plans to call up a replacement”. But, with Gary Cahill suspended for Sunday’s game against Lithuania, the coach will assess options following Wednesday’s match, reports Efe.
