Final Result:

Kolkata Knight Riders produced yet another bullish performance in IPL 2024 on Sunday to top the table after hammering Lucknow Super Giants in their own den at the Ekana Stadium.

Chasing a record score of 236, the Super Giants folded for 137 in 16.1 overs after Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana's flawless performance with the ball.

It was Sunil Narine however, who once again stole the show as he followed up his knock of 81 with a wicket of Ayush Badoni.

Varun and Narine spun a web around LSG after the powerplay, a genius move from Shreyas Iyer due to the opposition's slow star in the first 6 overs.

Rana backed up the spinners by bagging 3 wickets to match Varun's tally. All-rounder Andre Russell showed his worth with the ball this time with the big wickets of Marcus Stoinis (36) and Nicholas Pooran (10), both of whom he got out for the 5th time each in T20 cricket.

With this victory, KKR have dethroned Rajasthan Royals from the top of the points table with 16 points but they have a massive net run-rate advantage. The Royals however, have played a match less than KKR.

Mid-Innings Score:

Kolkata Knight Riders continued their dominant run with the bat in IPL 2024 to post the highest T20 total at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.

Riding on opener Sunil Narine's swashbuckling 81 off 39 balls, KKR posted 235 for 6 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul. Fellow opener Phil Salt and Angkrish Raghuvanshi also played crucial knocks of 32 each.

This is the first time a team has posted 200-plus total at this venue in T20 cricket.

Naveen-ul-Haq was the best bowler on show for the hosts with 3 wickets for 49 runs while Ravi Bishnoi and Yudhvir Singh Charak bagged one each.
