Team India batting star Rohit Sharma has suggested that he has no regrets from his career thus far and is grateful for whatever god has given him. Rohit claimed that the things he didn't achieve weren't probably meant to be and he is at peace with that.

Rohit, who succeeded Virat Kohli as captain across formats at the start of 2022, has become one of the successful ones. The right-handed batter has scripted T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy wins for India, both in the space of 12 months, establishing himself as a white-ball great.

Speaking to Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra on the show Who's The Boss, the former asked if he envisioned his life to take such a turn for good. Rohit answered:

"Nahin yaar bhajju pa, koi chance hee nahin hai yaar. Mujhe 2-3 interviews pe pucha gaya hai, what regrets you have in your life. Maine bola, kya regret? If I go back 25 years in my life, I know where I was and what my life was. There is no way I would've thought I would be sitting here with all the accolades and everything. Toh abhi jo bhi diya hai bhagwaan ne main khush hoon. Mujhe aage bhi pata hai log puchenge, aap yeh achieve kar sakte they, aapne yeh nahin kiya, woh nahin kiya. Nahin bhai, jitna likha hua hai, utna hee milna tha aapko, jitna bhagwaan ne diya main uska, I'm really grateful."

(Not at all bhajju pa. Not any chance. I've been asked in 2-3 interviews, what regrets you have in your life? I said what regret? If I go back 25 years in my life, I know where I was and what my life was. There is no way I would've thought I would be sitting here with all the accolades and everything. Whatever god has given me, I'm happy. I would be asked in the future, you could've achieved this and that. Whatever was written for me, it has been given for me. Whatever god gave me, I'm grateful.)

Rohit Sharma mustered 400+ runs in IPL 2025

Meanwhile, the elegant right-handed batter had a promising IPL season for the Mumbai Indians, mustering 418 runs in 15 matches at 29.85 alongside a strike rate of 149.28. However, the Mumbai Indians' campaign ended in Qualifier 2 with a defeat to the Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.

Having retired from both T20I and Test cricket, Rohit will now be playing only ODIs. He could next be seen in Indian colours during the tour of Bangladesh in August when India play three ODIs and as many T20Is.
