Mumbai : Jhunjhunwala, Ghatkopar rallied to beat Pillai College, Panvel in a 3-2 thriller to emerge champions in the Bombay YMCA Vth Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament, organized by YMCA Physical Education Department, at the Jhoola Maidan, Sankli Street, Byculla.
Runners-up in 2012, Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala snatched an exciting 23-25, 25-23, 17-25, 29-27, 15-10 win in a best-of-five championship round. After dropping a close opening set and being tamed in the third, Jhunjhunwala recovered from an 11-20 deficit to win the crucial fourth set over extra points to force the decider as Pillai lost their way.
