A blood donation drive is held annually on March 1 to mark the birth anniversary of Rasiklal M Dhariwal. Previously, the RMD Foundation set a record by collecting 24,000 blood bags at various blood donation centres in the city, and this tradition continues to be faithfully followed.
The foundation has been actively engaged in tree planting and conservation for the past 30 years. On Rasiklal Dhariwal’s 75th birthday, the foundation undertook the planting of 1 lakh trees. Trees are planted across India under the foundation’s ‘Pulakchhaya Yojana.’

Hundreds of trees have been planted and nurtured under the foundation’s ‘Ek Zaad Aichya Navane’ plan. In response to current needs, the foundation has also implemented the ‘Tree Transplantation Scheme.’ As part of this, hundreds of trees have been saved and transplanted during Pune’s Ring Road project.
Shobhatai Rasiklal Dhariwal emphasised the importance of tree planting and blood donation to help save humanity.

She urged Puneites to donate blood tomorrow (March 1) on Rasiklal Dhariwal's birth anniversary at RMD Bungalow No. 64, Lane No. 3, Koregaon Park, Pune.
