Pune Airport Cancels 13 Flights On Thursday Due To Security Measures

Pune Airport temporarily suspended 13 flight schedules on May 8 due to operational disruptions caused by 'Operation Sindoor' security measures, affecting routes to multiple destinations between midnight and 8pm.

Santosh Dhoke, Managing Director of Pune Airport, confirmed all affected passengers were notified through airlines, airport announcements, and digital platforms.

The cancelled flights included 11 IndiGo services: Amritsar-Pune (6E 6129), Pune-Cochin (6E 6129), Chandigarh-Pune (6E 681), Pune-Hyderabad (6E 336), Rajkot-Pune (6E 957), Pune-Jodhpur (6E 133), Pune-Chandigarh (6E 242), Pune-Amritsar (6E 721), Pune-Rajkot (6E 956), Pune-Surat (6E 6191), and Jodhpur-Pune (6E 414). Two SpiceJet flights – Pune-Bhavnagar (SG 1077) and Pune-Jaipur (SG 1080) – were also grounded.

Passengers affected due to flight disruptions were attended to in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Dhoke informed. Options, including full refunds or alternate flight arrangements, were offered by the respective airlines, and airport teams were on ground to assist with other support.

Authorities emphasised the airport's commitment to passenger safety while acknowledging ongoing inconveniences. Travellers were advised to contact their airlines for real-time updates.
