Cops on the lookout for bizman
Bhayandar : Sleuths of the Navghar police are on the lookout of a 40-year-old businessman on charges of raping a woman after she failed to repay her loan. According to police information, accused Kamlesh Chandmal Jain (40) is a resident of Silver Park in Mira Road and is into business of gold trading. Jain had extended a financial assistance of Rs. 35,000 to the woman who is said to be the wife of his distant cousin. However, when the woman failed to repay the loan, Jain allegedly pressurised her to maintain physical relationship with him. Threatening her of dire consequences if she did not clear the debt, Jain raped her at her tenement in Bhayandar on several occasions in past one year.
“Following a complaint registered by the victim, we registered a complaint under section 376 of the IPC against Jain who is still at large,” informed Senior Police Inspector A.S. Kurundkar.
Further investigations are underway.
