Mumbai : Unhappy with the features in the Bombardier rakes plying on the Western Railway (WR)? You can now give your feedback to Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) using ‘m-indicator’, a mobile based application generally used to get details of public transportation.

The founders of m-indicator have tied up with MRVC to help them in conducting a survey which until now was restricted to railway websites. After Bombardier rakes were put into service on March 18, MRVC initiated the survey wherein commuters were expected to go on the railways website to submit their response.  However with poor reply to the website, a five-member team was appointed to conduct the survey on foot. Five officials from MRVC are travelling in the two rakes every day and speak to people regarding their experience.

After the tie-up with m-indicator, the same survey form will now appear on the exit page. The form will flash on the exit page which appears when one tries to close the application after using it. Sachin Teke, the founder of m-indicator said, “We will also be sending a notification to all our customers regarding the survey form. The message will be like a flash notification. With just a click on the message the user will be directed to the survey form.”  Chief PRO of MRVC Prabhat Ranjan said, “Using this application we will be able to extend our survey to about 8 million users of m-indicator.”

The feedback of the commuters to be received through the application will be sent across to MRVC the same day using an online facility. “MRVC will be able to view the form the very moment a commuter fills it,” added Teke.
