Thane: Gas tanker topples near Ghodbunder Road, no casualties reported

Thane: A tanker carrying propane gas toppled at Ghodbunder Road on Monday. However, no casualties were reported in this incident.

"The incident took place at around 11:15 pm, when a tanker (GJ06 AZ 8841) carrying propane gas toppled near Gaimukh area in Ghodbunder Road, Thane. The tanker was heading towards Jamnagar, Gujarat when the driver of the tanker lost his control leading to the accident," said an official from RDMC Thane.

The police and RDMC (Regional Disaster Management Cell) team reached the spot with quick rescue team, fire engine and 4 hydra cranes after the department received an alert call regarding the incident.

"The tanker was moved to one side of the road with the help of rescue team and hydra crane after two hours, clearing the traffic woes on this route. However, no casualty or injury was reported in this incident," said RDMC official.
