Mumbai: Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray reviewed preparations for assembly election. The Shiv Sena currently preparing for both possibilities of either fighting in alliance with the BJP and also contesting on their own. Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray is on tour from today and will visit three districts. Shiv Sena called 288 in-charges and deputy in-charges of all assembly constituencies of Maharashtra. The plan A and Plan B prepared by Shiv Sena was discussed in the meeting. The plan A is the plan for contesting election after alliance with BJP and this the most likely situation. The plan B is the plan for contesting election alone. Shiv Sena has studied all the 288 constituencies and had prepared a detailed report. “The strategy for seat sharing was discussed.
Which seats Sena should demand, which seats will need hard work to win and which seats will be a cake walk was discussed in the meeting,’’ told a leader who attended the meeting. Thackeray and CM Devendra Fadnavis has vowed to contest election together in 53rd Foundation Day function of Shiv Sena held recently at Mumbai. In 2014, BJP had snapped ties with Shiv Sena at the last moment. Sena was not prepared to contest all the seats at the time. This time Sena do not want to be unprepared for such contingency. The plan for contesting election on their own was also discussed. The social and political equations in these constituencies were discussed.
Uddhav on tour
Uddhav Thackeray is scheduled to tour to interact with farmers. He will visit Aurangabad on tomorrow. He will interact with farmers at Crop Insurance centre at Gangapur. In the afternoon, he will move to Nandgaon in Nashik district. On Sunday, he will visit Shreerampur in Ahmednagar district. The preparations and plans of his tour was also discussed in the meeting.
Strengthen the Sena
Uddhav Thackeray instructed all leaders to strengthen Shiv Sena in the state for assembly election. Sena has fixed target of appointing 1 Lakh Shakha-Ptramukhs ( Branch-Head) in every ward. Earlier Sena has fixed target of appointing Shakha-Pramukh in every village. Now Sena has ordered its leaders to expand this network by appointing One Lakh Shakha-Pramukhs. Thackeray discussed this issue with all incharges.
