Panvel Civic Body Holds Lokshahi Din, Resolves Grievances And Reviews Public Complaints

Panvel: The Panvel Municipal Corporation held its monthly Lokshahi Din (Democracy Day) on Monday at the civic headquarters, with Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale presiding over the session. The initiative aims to strengthen dialogue between the administration and the public by providing a direct platform for citizens to voice their grievances.

During the session, seven applications related to civic services and infrastructure were submitted by citizens. Commissioner Chitale instructed concerned departments to resolve all issues immediately, ensuring timely redressal.

This monthly program, held on the first Monday of every month, has become an effective channel for grievance redressal. The administration confirmed that all 10 complaints received during previous Lokshahi Din sessions have been resolved, and there are currently no pending complaints.

Key officials present included Transport Manager Kailas Gawde, Deputy Commissioners Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, Ravikiran Ghodke, Prasenjit Karlekar, Swarup Kharge, City Engineer Sanjay Katekar, Health Officer Dr. Anand Gosavi, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Raju Patodkar, General Administration Head Amar Patil, along with other municipal staff.

The event reflects the civic body’s ongoing commitment to responsive and transparent governance.
