Navi Mumbai: NMMC reduces gap between 2nd and 3rd dose of Covid vaccine to 6 months

Those who have already completed six months of the second dose can take the precautionary dose anytime

Navi Mumbai: The 9 months or 39 weeks gap between the second dose of the Covid 19 vaccine and the precautionary dose has now been reduced to 6 months or 26 weeks.

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has decided this after guidelines received from the central and state governments.

Now, the precautionary dose of the Covid vaccine can now be given up to 3 months in advance. Those who have already completed six months of the second dose can take the precautionary dose anytime.

Covid 19 vaccination has proved beneficial in terms of protection against covid virus and NMMC has been paying special attention to rapid covid vaccination from the very beginning.

So far, 13,80,548 citizens have taken the first dose and 12,36,350 citizens have taken the second dose of the Covid vaccine. In addition, a total of 1,00,557 citizens have taken the precautionary doses.
