A specially designed bright red T-shirt, a fish-n-ice cake and a birthday song ringed in the second year of Molt, the most adored penguin at the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale (VJB) zoo in Byculla. Sanjay Tripati, director of the zoo, said, “The keepers and the veterinarians have named him Mr Molt because he has chosen the oldest female penguin named Flipper as his mate.

He is also the most active and naughtiest penguin.” Eight penguins were brought from South Korea in July 2016 to Mumbai. One of the penguins died in October due to infection.
