Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.
CENTRAL LINE
Central Railway will operate a special traffic and power block on Up and Dn slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai and Byculla stations from 10.30 hrs to 16.30 hrs on 16.12.2018 for launching of 3 girders for foot over bridge at Masjid station (Mumbai end) by 140 T crane.
Due to this the train running pattern will be as under:
Last Dn train on slow line will be leaving CSMT for Kalyan at 10.14 hrs; Byculla 10.22 hrs.
Last Up train on slow line will be leaving Byculla 09.50 hrs and arrive CSMT at 09.59 hrs.
No Services will be available at Masjid and Sandhurst Road stations during the block period.
Up and Dn slow suburban services will be diverted on fast line between Byculla and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
Suburban services will be available between Vadala Road and Panvel and Vadala Road-BandralGoregaon stations at an approximate interval of 15 minutes.
No other mega block will be operated on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Kalyan / Panvel section on 16.12.2018.
HARBOUR LINE
Central Railway will operate a special traffic and power block on Up and Dn harbour lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai and Vadala Road from 10.30 hrs to 16.30 hrs on 16.12.2018 for launching of 3 girders for foot over bridge at Masjid station (Mumbai end) by 140 T crane. Due to this the train running pattern will be as under
Last Dn train on harbour line will be leaving CSMT for Panvel at 10.10 hrs and Vadala Road at 10.28 hrs.
Last Up train on harbour line will be leaving Vadala Road 09.52 hrs and arrive CSMT at 10.10 hrs.
No Services will be available at Masjid and Sandhurst Road stations during the block period.
Up and Dn suburban services on harbour line will not be available between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vadala Road stations.
WESTERN LINE
To carry out maintenance work of track, signalling and overhead equipment, five hours jumbo block will be taken on Up fast lines and 5th line between Matunga Road and Mumbai Central (Local) stations during midnight of Saturday, 15th December, 2018 and Sunday, 16th December, 2018 from 23.45 hrs to 03.45 hrs.
During the block, all Up fast line trains will run on Up slow line between Santacruz and Churchgate stations. Therefore, this Sunday, no day block is scheduled on Western Railway’s Suburban Section.
