Mumbai: Man electrocuted after climbing the power pole in Kandivali

A 41-year-old man was electrocuted after coming in contact with a high tension wire in Kandivali (W) on May 27, at around 3 pm, after he climbed up an electric pole. Police had received information that a man had climbed up the Tata Power pole, but till the time the team could reach the spot, the man, identified as Harnek Singh, a resident of Ekta Nagar, had fallen on the ground after being hit with a bolt of electricity. He was immediately rushed to a civic-run hospital, where he was declared brought before dead. Subsequently, Kandivali Police recorded a case of Accidental death in the matter and has sent his body for autopsy.
