Mumbai Local Train Update: Central Railway Announces Mega Block On April 13; Check Details

The Central Railway announced a mega block on April 13 on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Vidyavihar Up and Down Slow Line as well as the Kurla and Vashi Up and Down Harbour Lines.

Mumbai: The Central Railway has announced a mega block on Sunday, April 13, to carry out essential maintenance work. The block will on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar stations on the Up and Down Slow Line, and also between Kurla and Vashi on the Harbour Line.

During this period, trains on the Down Slow Line departing from CSMT between 10:48 AM and 3:32 PM will be diverted to the Down Fast Line, making stops at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla, before switching back to the slow track at Vidyavihar.

The last train before the block will leave CSMT at 10:07 AM, and the first train after the block will depart at 3:40 PM. Suburban train services will not be available at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli and Curry Road stations during the block.

Passengers are advised to check updated train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience. The announcement was made via Central Railway’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday.

Similarly, Up Slow Line trains from Ghatkopar to CSMT scheduled between 10:19 AM and 3:29 PM will be rerouted via the Up Fast Line, halting at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla. These diverted trains will not stop at Curry Road, Chinchpokli, Sandhurst Road, and Masjid stations.
