Bus services in Mumbai to resume from today
The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) on Sunday informed that the local bus service will resume in Mumbai from Monday onwards.
The decision has been taken following the 5-step unlock which is currently in process in the Maharashtra capital city.

COVID-19 cases continue to decline in Maharashtra as only 12,557 fresh infections were recorded, the state's public health department informed on Sunday.
With 14,433 fresh discharges, the state's coronavirus recovery rate climbed to 95.05 per cent. As many as 233 deaths due to COVID-19 were registered on Sunday.
At present, there are 1,85,527 active cases in Maharashtra while 55,43,267 COVID-19 patients have been discharged after full recovery. The case fatality rate in the state stands at 1.72 per cent.

Amid the traffic snarls reported all of last week across the city, traffic police and experts have said that the congestion issues are likely to continue this week as well due to the phase-wise unlock process of the lockdown-like curbs.
As soon as the restrictions were relaxed a little bit, a number of motorists had thronged the city streets, leading to major congestion across the city, some upto 60 and 75 minutes.
A senior traffic official told The Free Press Journal that these traffic conditions will prevail unless people stay put in their homes and comply with the rules.

A girl detected with coronavirus infection some hours after birth in Palghar district in Maharashtra died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment, health officials said.

Thane has reported 558 new cases of coronavirus, raising the infection count in the Maharashtra district to 5,21,607, an official said on Monday.
