Mumbai: The city on Sunday, witnessed the coldest morning this winter so far in Mumbai. Mumbaikars can enjoy this cold weather for some time as the temperatures are expected to continue with slight changes.
For few days at temperature was constant at 17°Celsius, but the temperature in the city and suburbs first dropped to 15.2°Celsius on December 21. The cold weather continued as the temperature dropped further to 14°Celsius on January 2. However, on Sunday morning, the lowest temperature of this winter season for the city was recorded.
“After January 2, this is the lowest temperature that was recorded for Mumbai this winter season. Winds blowing from the north toward the south are bringing cold weather along. This will continue for another few days, even though there will be a slight increase in temperature,” Krishnanand Hosalikar, deputy director, Indian Meteorological Department, told Mid Day.
