Hours after BJP leader Mohit Kamboj celebrated the arrest of Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik by brandishing a sword outside his residence in Santacruz on Wednesday evening, the Santacruz police have booked the BJP leader for the Arms act.
Soon after Malik was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged case of money laundering case that linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim on Wednesday, Kamboj along with his party workers gathered at his residence at Santacruz. During the celebrations, Kamboj brandished a sword.
After the video of the celebrations went viral an offence was registered at Santacruz police station. The BJP leader has been booked under section 188 (disobedience to an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant) and 268 (public nuisance) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with sections 4 and 25 of the Arms act and sections 37(1)(c) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
