Mumbai: BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar has raised concerns about the operations of hotels and lodges affiliated with aggregator chain OYO, urging the government to investigate their practices.

Speaking during a debate on supplementary demands for the home and other departments, he pointed out that some of these hotels, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, offer rooms for as little as one hour.

“Why are rooms being rented for just an hour? It’s surprising and warrants police investigation,” Mungantiwar said. He also alleged that many of these establishments operate on the outskirts without proper permissions.
