A case has been filed against them for causing death by negligence and a notice was served to them, said the officials.

The mishap occurred on Sunday at a road construction site at SV Road in Vile Parle West. According to the FIR, on March 16 around 3.20pm, the Juhu police personnel, who were at Bharucha Baugh for nakabandi, were approached by a man, who informed them that a person was bleeding profusely and lying near the Golden Tobacco Company, SV Road.

The personnel arrived at the scene and found the victim lying unconscious. It seemed that a heavy vehicle had run over his head, said the officials, adding that he was taken to Cooper Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
