In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old teenager was allegedly stripped, assaulted and locked for over 4 hours by four men in Sakinaka area in Andheri. The police have arrested one accused in the case. The accused did so as the 18-year-old had allegedly stolen Rs 1.45 lakh from a shop.
According to Indian Express, the men also allegedly shot a video of the act and posted it on social media. The incident took place on February 26, when two accused visited the teen’s residence. As the victim knew them he left with them on a scooter. The two accused took the teen to a shop at Salim compound in Sakinaka’s Shrinagar area and started assaulting him. The two started inquiring about the cash that had gone missing from the shop (of another accused). The teenager denied the allegations but they kept on beating him.
Later, after some time, two other accused arrived at the shop and ordered to remove the victim’s clothes and he was beaten by belts. The victim told the cops that they took off his clothes and started beating him with belts. He alleged that the accused hit him on his back, hands, and chest. When the victim asked them to leave him, they assaulted him even more, alleged the victim. While three of the accused assaulted the teen, the fourth man shot a video of the whole incident.
The teen was left around 8 pm and the accused warned him that if he approaches police they will post his nude video on social media. After returning home the teen didn’t inform his family and, on the same night, he tried to run away from the house. But his family stopped him, after seeing his injuries he was taken to the hospital. Two days later, the teen’s brother saw the video on WhatsApp and confronted the teen. After this, the teen’s elder brother filed a police complaint. The cops registered a case on charges of assault, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and common intention under IPC and IT Act. Among the four accused, one was arrested on Thursday.
