Major police reshuffle across Maharashtra

Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds Home Minister portfolio, promoted and transferred the following senior IPS officials of the rank of Director General of Police (DG) and Additional Director General of Police (ADG) on Friday.

One of the top cops of Mumbai police Atulchandra Kulkarni, who was holding the post of Jt. CP Crime (working at ADG level) has been transferred to the post of ADG, ATS, Mumbai replacing Vivek Phansalkar (IPS, 1989), who has been transferred as ADG, ACB, Mumbai against the vacant post.

Kulkarni was also the spokesperson of Mumbai police. Maharashtra government in all transferred 34 officers of DCP and the  Superintendent of Police rank in the state. DCP (Detection) has also been transferred to ATS the same capacity.
