Maharashtra: Sena-BJP workers came face-to-face in Sindhudurg

Mumbai: Days after Shiv Sena and BJP workers had a scuffle at Shiv Sena Bhavan, Dadar, workers of both the parties came face to face in Sindhudurg district on Saturday. Shiv Sena on the occasion of its anniversary day on Saturday had organised the programme to distribute petrol at the concessional rate. It sparked a scuffle between the workers from two parties.

Shiv Sena legislator Vaibha Naik had organised the two litre petrol distribution at Rs 100 at the petrol mark he had identified. However, after Naik realised that the petrol pump was connected to a senior BJP leader he shifted the petrol distribution to another pump. Naik also offered that one litre petrol will be distributed free if the vehicular owner shows a BJP card.

However, Naik’s announcement led to workers from Shiv Sena and BJP coming in front of each other and shouting slogans.

The police had a tough time to disburse the workers from Shiv Sena and BJP.

Naik took credit for taking on BJP workers while it was refuted by BJP leader Narayan Rane’s sons Nitesh and Nilesh.
