Maharashtra records 11,766 new COVID-19 cases; 8,104 patients discharged

The daily COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra dipped on Friday, recording 11,766 fresh cases, taking the number of active cases to 1,61,704. Besides, 406 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the day, taking the number of total fatalities to 1,06,367.


8,104 patients were discharged in the day, taking the tally to 56,16,857. The recovery rate in the state rose to 95.4 percent. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.81 percent.

Currently, 10,04,770 people are in home quarantine and 6,024 people are in institutional quarantine.

The Mumbai circle--which consists of MCGM, Thane, TMC, Navi Mumbai, KDMC, Ulhasnagar MC, Bhivandi Nijampur MC, Mira Bhayandar MC, Palghar, Vasai Virar MC, Raigad, Panvel MC--recorded 2127 new cases.


The Nashik circle--which consists of Nashik, Nashik MC, Malegaon MC, Ahmednagar, Ahmednagar MC, Dhule, Dhule MC, Jalgaon, Jalgaon MC, Nandurbar--reported 1103 fresh COVID-19 cases.

The Pune circle--which includes Pune, PMC, PCMC, Solapur, Solapur MC, Satara--recorded 2573 new cases.

The Kolhapur circle reported 4344 new cases, Aurangabad circle 262, Latur circle 473, Akola circle 562, and Nagpur circle recorded 322 new COVID-19 cases.
