CM Eknath Shinde on Friday said that he has two-third majority in the Shiv Sena legislative party and support of 170 legislators in the state assembly and it is increasing. He expressed a comfortable victory in the Speaker’s election slated for July 3 and said that the government will win the confidence vote on July 4.

Shinde claimed that his is now the real legislative party and not the one led by Uddhav Thackeray. He added that he would comfortably win the confidence motion on Monday and the government will work to spur growth .

‘’170 MLAs are with us. Trust vote is just a formality. We are the real Shiv Sainiks. We will work on the ideology of Balasaheb & the issue of Hindutva. We are committed to working for the development of the state,’’ said Shinde.

Shinde said that his government will take forward the development work in the state.

"I have spoken to the BrihanMumbai Corporation Commissioner regarding the rain situation in Mumbai. The government is committed to bring change in the lives of farmers. We will take forward development works in the state," he added.

Meanwhile, Shinde chaired the meeting of the state disaster management authority to review the heavy rains and the administration’s preparations to handle the situation.

Shinde asked all agencies to ensure proper coordination among themselves so that there will be no loss of life in disasters under any circumstances. Similarly, the officers should work on the field so that all the people in the system remain vigilant.

Shinde said coordination in a disaster is very important. ‘’The NDRF as well as the Army have done well in the flood situation last year. Care should be taken to ensure that there is no lack of contact and communication under any circumstances. Complaints of the people should be dealt with promptly by keeping the war rooms on active mode in the Collectorate and Municipal offices ready,’’ he added.
