Mumbai: The state govt on Tuesday reconstituted Maharashtra State Rehabilitation Authority cum State Rehabilitation and Resettlement Monitoring Committee. The deputy chief minister will head a nine-member panel, while the co-chairman will be the relief and rehabilitation minister.
This panel was formed as per provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (also Land Acquisition Act, 2013).
It also comprises ministers of water resources, revenue and minister of state for relief and rehabilitation. The invited members included ministers of agriculture, energy, water supply, cleanliness and higher and technical education.
