The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has launched a special initiative to recover pending property and water taxes from property holders in Kalyan. As part of this drive, KDMC officials set up a dedicated camp in Kalyan to facilitate easy tax payments for citizens.
According to KDMC officials, the tax payment camp was organized at the New Rachana Senior Citizen Service Institute, Rachana Park, Tisgaon, Kalyan (East), under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Abhinav Goyal, Additional Commissioner Yogesh Godse, and Deputy Commissioner of the Property Tax Department Kanchan Gaikwad.
During the camp, a large number of citizens from Kalyan visited the centre and cleared their dues. A total of ₹1,73,635 was collected through 91 tax payment receipts, and an additional ₹91,000 was paid through online transactions. This initiative has significantly boosted the revenue collection of the municipal corporation.
The civic body stated that the camp proved beneficial for citizens, saving them time and effort. Locals appreciated the initiative, which provided all tax-related facilities under one roof. There has also been a growing demand from residents to organize such camps regularly in the future.
