Mumbai: The Unit IX of the Crime Branch on Thursday arrested two people, Manish alias Anwar Shaikh, a resident of Malwani, Malad and Pintu Shaikh, from Murshidabad, West Bengal for circulating fake currency in Mumbai. They had brought Rs 1 lakh from West Bengal in currency notes of Rs 1000 and were selling each note for Rs 700. The police suspects that it is their second or third delivery in Mumbai. Pintu allegedly delivered the money to Anwar who used to sell it here. Both were arrested at Santa Cruz station on Thursday evening.
